It was Year 1 that were at the Woodland School this week and they were privileged to have a visitor from the Surrey Wildlife Trust joined them for the session. He was able to share his expertise with the boys and staff and we learnt a lot from his input. One of our boys decided that he would be the Project Manager for an ambitious construction project; he organised his friends and between them they showed great team work and cooperation to build a most impressive den/house. On another side of the site some of the boys were using their imaginations to make a pile of logs become firstly the '17:59 Great West train' which made its first stop at the seaside and then miraculously transformed into an aeroplane that transported its occupants to Dubai. We also found time to use the bow saw, loppers and secateurs. We practised some fire lighting, had lunch cooked over the camp fire and toasted marshmallows. Yet another fantastic Woodland experience was had by all!
